Mountainside Recreation Centre
The City of Burlington will be working to implement roadway, sidewalk, and intersection improvements on Mount Forest Drive between Mountain Side Drive and Fisher Avenue. This will include full depth asphalt replacement, full curb and gutter replacement, focused concrete sidewalk repairs and storm sewer repairs on the limits shown on the location map.
In addition, as part of the Mount Forest Drive Project, the City of Burlington will be completing resurfacing work on Mountain Grove Ave and Meadowbrook Road. This work will include a 50mm shave and pave of the roadway asphalt as well as spot curb and sidewalk repairs.
Work will begin summer 2025. The work will include the removal and replacement of the existing curbs, road removal and regrading to promote stormwater drainage, improved intersection safety at Meadowbrook Rd and Mount Forest Dr, as well as conforming intersections to current accessibility guidelines.

The construction schedule outlined is tentative. Additional information will be provided once the contract has been awarded and schedule confirmed.

While completing the work the contractor will be implementing temporary lane restrictions. This will heavily affect the flow of traffic through this area. Traffic will be flagged to continue the flow of east and westbound traffic but residents in the area should allow for extra travel time.
