The City of Burlington is renewing Fairchild Park, located at 2175 Fairchild Blvd. This renewal is guided by the ‘Love My Playground’ survey input, that was gathered from local area residents, in 2021.

Project schedule
Construction is expected to begin, weather permitting, in late April and last approximately 8-10 weeks. (Please note: The completion date may be affected by weather, or by production and service delays in the construction industry.)
Due to unforeseen circumstances (eg. weather, production delays, additional work) the park construction completion was anticipated end of July / early August. Construction is now complete.
Project scope
Construction at Fairchild Park will include:
- Replacement of playground equipment and swings
- Installation of engineered wood fibre surfacing
- Installation of new drainage system at playground areas
- New concrete transition curbs for accessibility into playground areas
- Path improvements and connections
- New fencing sections
To ensure safety during construction, the playground area and the existing park will be closed and fenced off. We appreciate your cooperation and patience during construction to ensure a safe environment for all.
