
The annual Robbie Burns Day Road Race will take place on Sunday, Jan. 18 in downtown Burlington. To meet the needs of the event and ensure public safety, road closures and traffic restrictions will be in place as outlined below.
Vehicles parked illegally in the event area will be tagged or towed to ensure emergency access.
Elgin Street from Burlington Avenue to Locust Street will be fully closed from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
One lane will be coned off on all other race route streets from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Please do not park in restricted areas. See parking rules posted on each pay machine.
Vehicles parked illegally may be tagged or towed for emergency access.
Road closures will be managed under the supervision of the Halton Regional Police Service. Emergency access will be maintained at all times in the event area.
Event notices have been delivered to all affected residents, religious centers, and businesses in advance of the event.
Minor bus route detours will be in effect for Routes 2, 4 and 10.
