Jacqueline Johnson, Executive Director of Community Relations and Engagement
"We're dedicated to making Burlington’s City Hall a positive, welcoming experience for all visitors, and this renovation is a great step forward. The newly renovated first floor will simplify customer interactions, provide more meeting space for staff and the community, meet the needs of our growing city, and create efficiencies that come from staff working together to better serve you.”
Ken Pirhonen, Manager of Facility Assets
“The renovations provide a framework for the future design of City Hall that allows for a greater customer experience. We wanted to design a space that is safe, functional and customer focused. With the new layout, customers can obtain all the information they need from the service counters in one place without having to travel between floors. The widening of the Locust Street entrance allows for improved accessibility, and new sliding doors reduce the amount of heat loss from the lobby, allowing the heating and cooling systems to use less energy.”
